Public Cloud
These are the most common type of Cloud server deployment and used extinsively. The cloud services (servers and storage) are held by 3rd party service providers like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. With a public cloud, all hardware, software and other supporting infrastructure is owned and managed by the cloud provider. In a public cloud, you share the same hardware, storage and network devices with other organisations or customers on the same network. You access services and manage your account using a web browser. They generally make a cut to web based emails, office applications, storage and testing environments.

Private Cloud
A Private Cloud consists of cloud computing services for exclusive use of one business or organization. It can be physically located in-house or privately hosted by service providers. Often used by govt. agencies, financial institutions and industries where use case is special and requires control over the IT environment.
